The Margot Corner

The Coveteur has also published an interview they did with Margot when she attended the Gotham Awards this Monday. She talks about Calvin Klein, Beauty, and much more that you can read bellow!

We’re guessing this has been said before, but Margot Robbie may just be one of the most down-to-earth actors we’ve had the opportunity to interview. Not to mention that she’s even prettier and nicer IRL than you could possibly expect. We say all this because, as you can imagine, we were kind of nervous when we found ourselves heading uptown to meet with Robbie on the Monday after Thanksgiving, when our turkey brain was still in full effect. But all of that dissipated the moment we arrived to find her lounging barefoot on the couch, recounting the tale of showing up to her friend’s Thanksgiving with Jägerbombs in tow. Yeah, we told you she was chill.

We were there primarily to chat with Robbie about being named the latest face of Calvin Klein’s fragrance, deep euphoria, but couldn’t help but ask her about everything from her in-flight beauty advice and go-to dry shampoo, to ginger shots and shower beers. You could say it was a well-rounded conversation. Fast-forward to later that evening, as we put on our fanciest and headed out to join Robbie and Calvin Klein at a star-studded awards dinner celebrating IFP’s Gotham Awards—basically the Oscars of independent film, which brings light to what are sure to be the best movies of the year. All in all, it was definitely the most glamorous Monday we’ve had in a while. Or ever.

On celebrating American Thanksgiving:

“My friends and I are like orphans in L.A., so we jumped on someone else’s Thanksgiving dinner and it ended up being far more extravagant [than we expected]. We thought it was just going to be the five of us getting drunk, so we brought Jägerbombs, but there were kids at the table! We were like, ‘Okay! We’re gonna hide this bottle of Jäger.’ Because clearly, this is not the kind of Thanksgiving we are at. Of course, the Australians show up at this lovely family affair ready to get drunk, right? It was really, really nice though. We were thinking Jägerbombs to wrap up the evening, kind of counteract the sleepiness of the turkey.”

Hello Margot fans! W magazine has published an interview with Margot, where she speaks about her love for hockey, Calvin Klein and her upcoming role– Tonya Harding. You can read all about it bellow!

Actress Margot Robbie always chooses a signature fragrance for each character she plays. Right now, though, she’s wearing the peppery rose and jasmine scent Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria, and that suits her fine in real life. In her next role, as the legendary figure skater Tonya Harding, who is best known for her involvement in attacking fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan at the Olympics, she may have to find something more suitable. For now, she’s concentrating on mastering her triple salchow, and attending Rangers games for inspiration.

I saw you on the Madison Square Garden Jumbotron last night.
Were you at the Rangers game?

No, my husband was watching. He said, “Honey, there’s Margot Robbie.” And I thought, Good opener
Every time we go to a game, at the start, my agent always reminds me, “You know they photograph you at the game, so just remember that.” So, I’m like, “Keep it cool, it’s all good.” That lasts for the first two periods, but by the third period, I’m just like “ARGH!” I just get so into it. And then I saw the pictures today, and I’m like, “I look like a psychopath. Great.”

But you’re a big hockey fan and you play right wing?
Yeah. I don’t want to be misleading and make you think I’m really good at ice hockey. I’m terrible, but I really like it.

Hello Margot fans! Margot recently chat with Elle Australia about Calvin Klein fragrance Deep Euphoria and beauty products. You can read the interview bellow and learn about all her beauty secrets!

The Queensland native’s star power has been rapidly on the rise since her 2013 breakout performance in The Wolf Of Wall Street. And with two major movies out this year (The Legend Of Tarzan and Suicide Squad), it shows no sign of slowing down. We recently caught up with the 26-year-old actress to chat about her latest project: appointment as the face of Calvin Klein’s new fragrance, Deep Euphoria.

What is your first scent memory? Is there a particular scent that takes you back?
Smells do totally take me back and remind me of a particular time or place or person. I remember admiring my mum’s perfume as a little girl, always seeing her perfume bottles lined up and thinking it was such an adult thing. Like, “Oh, when I’m grown up I’ll wear perfume too.” I remember trying my mum’s perfumes and always smelling older women and thinking, “Oh God, I can’t wait until I get to that stage.” Oddly enough, a lot of women in my family do wear Calvin Klein perfumes and I didn’t realise until I last went home and I hugged my auntie and I was like, “You smell so good. I always think of you when I smell this, what is it?” And she was like, “Oh, it’s Calvin Klein Euphoria.” And I was like, “That’s so weird, I’m actually doing a campaign with them at the moment.” Of course, they asked if they could get free perfume [laughs].

If your auntie represents Euphoria to you, who is the Deep Euphoria woman?
She’s a woman who knows who she is. It feels classic without feeling dated in any way; it feels modern. I’m 26 and it’s a perfume I like wearing. It has those feminine notes and the sensual side to it. Though I do feel strong and empowered in it, and also feminine in a way, which is nice.

Hello Margot fans! Our girl is currently in London shooting Untitled A.A. Milne Project but that doesn’t mean she’s not promoting other projects! Glamour UK spoke with Margot on the phone about the new Calvin Klein fragrance, which she’s the face of and many other things that you can read bellow!

We have a confession: interviewing celebrities on the telephone can sometimes be really really dull. You can’t get the banter going, and having the celebrity’s undivided attention is totally out of your control. So it’s fair to say that GLAMOUR’s Leanne Bayley didn’t have huge expectations when she recently dialled Margot Robbie for a phone chat on a Saturday afternoon. Was the Suicide Squad star a disappointment? Hell no. Was she chatty, amazing and totally cool? 100 percent YES.

Hi Margot, first off – I’m very jealous of you because you got to hang out with a lot of male models on the deep euphoria Calvin Klein advertising campaign shoot. Did you have any pre-shoot nerves?

Only a little bit in the sense that photoshoots aren’t really my forte, I’ve never done modelling, I feel at home on a film set. I’m just so familiar with sets and how they work that when we did the video campaign for the deep euphoria shoot I felt much more at home than just the photoshoot aspect of it. Photoshoots kind of make me nervous but the video side of it I didn’t feel nervous. We had Francis Lawrence directing it so I knew that we’d be talking in the same way.

I love that the deep euphoria advertising campaign is based on the morning after the night before – what’s the wildest night you’ve ever been on in real life?

Good question. I’ve had some wild ones. We did talk about that a lot, the nights that keep going until the sun comes up and then still a group of you in a hotel room or like apartment and you’re still drinking and you’re still chatting. I love that so much, I love those kind of nights that blend into the next morning.

We had a pretty big night after the Suicide Squad press. It was Cara’s birthday and she had this massive party at Suki’s house and it was just an outrageous party. But it was sweet too. Yeah, the party was fun but everyone’s favourite bit was when the sun’s coming up and you’ve got your closest friends, the squad there chatting and the sun’s coming up and everyone knows they should go home and shower and stuff but no one wants to leave each other because, it’s just good times all the time – sitting on a roof top until like midday.

Hello Margot fans! Our favorite Aussie is currently promoting Calvin Klein’s new frangrance Deep Euphoria as she is the face of the campaign as most of you already know. Recently she sat down with Elle, where she spoke about the advertising campaign and watched herself in the commercial. You may read the interview bellow (and under the cut).

“This is so weird,” says Margot Robbie. She’s at London’s Rosewood Hotel watching—trying to watch, anyway—her own commercial. It’s for Calvin Klein’s heady fragrance Deep Euphoria, and it’s kind of funny: one of those “Is this a dream?” plot lines with a neon purple rave and shirtless skater boys. (We’re not complaining.) “It’s cool, right?” Robbie giggles. “But seeing yourself on TV… it’s never not strange.”

What’s funny: If you’re not Margot Robbie, watching her onscreen is a pretty regular thing. From The Wolf of Wall Street to The Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad, the Aussie actress has steadily crept into Hollywood’s A-List. She’s also become a fashion favorite, sporting Saint Laurent to the Oscars and Gucci on her latest press tour.

But do we really know anything about Margot Robbie? We weren’t sure, so we asked her some questions—weird ones, for real—to get some more information.

You’re famously hands-on with your projects. How involved were you in the Deep Euphoria ad? Did you cast the hot guys yourself?

I didn’t, but I was very happy with [Calvin Klein’s] choice. I was chatting with them at one point, and I could tell I was starting to flirt with them. I said to one of the guys, “What are you doing after this?” and he says, “Well, I’ve got to go back to school.” And I was like, “Oh, cool! College?” No. Not college. [High] school. I thought, “Oh. My. God. You’re 17 years old. I’m officially a cougar! I’m ‘The Older Woman!’ This has never happened to me before!”

Ah, your first Mrs. Robinson moment.

So many of my friends are older, and the people I work with are older. I guess I’ve gotten used to hearing people say, “Oh, you’re so young,” even though I never really agreed with that. Now I get their perspective. And it does feel bizarre, having someone in your work space who’s so much younger than you.
