As we know, Margot has a number of projects in the pipeline, as referenced in our sidebar, and one of those happens to be the noir thriller, ‘Terminal‘.

Although she was at Toronto to primarily promote ‘I, Tonya‘, it turns out that a screening of ‘Terminal‘ was also hosted. The movie was slated to be released in 2016 but has since been pushed back numerous times. It is possible that the presentation at the festival was to gain a distributor.

The movie itself not only stars Margot, but her production company, Lucky Chap Entertainment, is also producing it.

We shall provide more updates on this when they become available.

Margot just continues to add new projects to her name! This time as a producer, through her LuckyChap Entertainment company. She’s set to produce the science-fiction thriller “Augmented” for Warner Bros. – read on for more information. We’ll update you as soon as more information are available!

Source | Margot Robbie and Denise Di Novi have come on board as producers for Warner Bros. on the Mark Townsend science-fiction thriller “Augmented.”

The studio has acquired the rights to Townsend’s spec script and is keeping the logline under wraps. No actors are attached to “Augmented” at this point.

Both Robbie and Di Novi have first-look deals with Warner Bros. Carmen Lewis will also produce for Di Novi, along with Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara through Robbie’s Lucky Chap company. Warner Bros. executives Chantal Nong and Sheila Walcott will oversee the project.

Townend’s time-travel script “Contingency Protocol” appeared on the 2016 Black List with Bellevue Productions, Storyscape Entertainment, and Weed Road attached to produce and Broad Green financing.

Robbie signed her first-look deal last year. She has starred in three Warner Bros. films — “Focus,” “The Legend of Tarzan,” and “Suicide Squad.” She’s starring in “Suicide Squad” spinoff “Gotham City Sirens” for her character Harley Quinn and will executive produce.

Robbie is also starring in the Tonya Harding biopic “I, Tonya,” which will premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival, and in Fox Searchlight’s “Goodbye Christopher Robin,” which opens Oct. 13. She’s also a producer on “I, Tonya.”

Di Novi made her directorial debut with Rosario Dawson’s “Unforgettable.” She produced Robbie’s “Focus” and has dozens of producing credits dating back to 1988’s “Heathers.”

Lucky Chap is represented by CAA, Management 360 and attorney Jeff Bernstein. DiNovi is repped by CAA, Rain Management Group, and Bloom Hergott. Townend is repped by Verve, Bellevue, and Marios Rush.

Hello Margot fans! Our girl is currently in Cannes for the film festival, looking for financiers of “Dreamland” with her production company. We haven’t got any official photos yet (and we’re not sure there will be any, but we’ll of course keep you posted), so there’s not much to update with, but read on for a fun little article from News.com.au!

HOLLYWOOD has always had its “It” girls. Stars like Audrey Hepburn, Barbra Streisand, Goldie Hawn, Cher, Julia Roberts and Halle Berry have all earned the coveted title for their looks and talent on-screen over the years. And the next up-and-coming “It” girl these days seems to be Margot Robbie.

With starring roles in two films in the last year — as bad girl Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, which earned more than $US 700 million worldwide, as well as Jane Clayton in “The Legend of Tarzan,” the 26-year-old Australian actress may soon find her name added to the list of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading ladies.

“Robbie has all it takes to go to the top,” said film critic and entertainment reporter Stephen Schaefer, who writes for the Boston Herald.
But Schaefer isn’t convinced Robbie has reached the same status as Hollywood’s current It-girl quite yet.

“…What Emma Stone possesses is this innate, all-American girl quality where she seems like a regular person who might be your friend. Stone’s a movie star, but a down-to-earth one and that is something that can’t be bottled or packaged.”

That said, Robbie made a dazzling film debut with her role as Naomi Lapaglia, the sexy, feisty wife of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jordan Belfort character in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, adding her to the list of memorable performances by women in director Martin Scorsese’s films, such as Sharon Stone in Casino or Cathy Moriarty in Raging Bull.

“She can do just about anything, big budget, indie, and she leaves it all on the screen,” said Candace Havens, an entertainment reporter for KSCS 96.3. “She’s fearless and at the same time seems to be fairly strategic in the roles she’s taking on.”

Among the roles she’s adding to her filmography are Queen Elizabeth opposite Saoirse Ronan’s Mary Stuart in the upcoming drama Mary Queen of Scots. The drama tells the story of Mary Stuart’s attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England. Robbie will also be reprising her role as Harley Quinn in a film that will showcase the top female villains from the DC stable, titled Gotham City Sirens. In addition, she’s currently filming the biopic, I, Tonya, in which she plays controversial Olympic skater Tonya Harding.

“I think Hollywood likes to see actresses who take on diverse roles,” added Havens. “They can star in a big blockbuster, but also knock it out of the park in indie pics. But there’s also the element of how they appear in the public eye. [With] their social media and interviews, it is all about perception.”

Margot fans, i think we’re right when we say– Margot Robbie is taking over the world! It has just been announced by The Hollywood Reporter that Margot is set to star and produce along with her partners at Lucky Chap Entertainment the thriller Dreamland! You can read all about it bellow.

Margot Robbie is set to star in Dreamland, a thriller that will be directed by Sundance winner Miles Joris-Peyrafitte.

Robbie will also produce with her partners at Lucky Chap Entertainment, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Rian Cahill of Automatik.

Brad Feinstein of Romulus Entertainment is producing and financing Dreamland, which Sierra/Affinity will introduce at this year’s Cannes Film Market. CAA and WME are co-repping domestic sales.

Written by Nicolaas Zwart and on the 2015 Black List, Dreamland is set in the 1930s, amid the devastation of the Dust Bowl. The story follows a 15-year old boy on his quest to capture a fugitive bank robber and collect the bounty on her head, all with the goal with saving his family farm from foreclosure.

Against all odds, he beats out the FBI and the local police to find her, only to discover that she’s far more than what the authorities claim her to be. Robbie will play the bank robber.

The producers are hoping to bring a balance of nostalgic beauty and gritty realism to the proceedings as well as a balance between a sense of romanticism and a sense of violence.

Exciting news, Margot fans! About a week ago, it was reveled that a string of A-List actresses were considered for the role of Marian in an alternate Robin Hood universe tale. Actresses mentioned were Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Lawrence, Brie Larson, Daisy Ridley and more. Now it looks like Margot might just have snagged the role! Read on below for more information. We will update you once any new information on this project is available…

DEADLINE | It garnered a lot of interest, but when the dust cleared it was Sony that nailed the project for producers Donald De Line and Amy Pascal by pre-empting the spec Marian for actress Margot Robbie to star. A nice role for Robbie to show some more of her acting chops, this time in a serious and truly gritty turn. Think Braveheart meets Game of Thrones. Robbie’s label LuckyChap Entertainment is also producing, with Rock Shank, through his Romark Entertainment.

Scripted by newcomer Pete Barry, Marian is based on the character from the Robin Hood folklore. Here’s the storyline: After a conspiracy to conquer England in which the love of her life Robin Hood dies before her eyes, Marian picks up the cause to lead her people into a pivotal war. She comes to power, charging into a battle that will not only decide the fate of the kingdom but will see her don the mantle of the man she loved. In the process, she rises as a legend herself.

Robbie is currently at work on I, Tonya, the biopic about disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding that started shooting last month. Also on her plate is a further exploration of her Suicide Squad character in a project called Gotham City Sirens for Warner Bros. and director David Ayer — an all-female DC villains movie. In addition, she’s on two projects based on beloved characters from childhood books: Peter Rabbit at Sony/Columbia, a live-action/CGI hybrid feature based on Beatrix Potter’s classic characters, and Fox Searchlight’s untitled A.A. Milne project centered on Winnie the Pooh.

De Line and Steven Spielberg just produced the director’s Ready Player One for Warner Bros.; that comes out in March 2018. He also produced Zach Braff’s Going in Style from Oscar-nominated screenwriter Ted Melfi (Hidden Figures), which comes out next month. Pascal is working on a slew of projects, including Molly’s Game and the tentpole Spider-Man: Homecoming as well as a feature based on Mattel’s Barbie toy line.

Paradigm — which is going on what, eight spec sales in a row?– also sold this latest spec on behalf of Barry. The writer also is repped by manager Andrea Dimitty of Pannon Entertainment and attorney Jeff Frankel. Robbie and LuckyChap are repped by Management 360, CAA and attorney Jeff Bernstein; the actress additionally is repped by Aran Michael Management.

Hello Margot fans! Margot has been quite quiet lately as she’s currently working on some projects but yesterday The Hollywood Reporter released the news that Warner Bros. and Margot’s LuckyChap Entertainment are teaming up with producer Denise Di Novi to adapt Beautiful Things, a novel by Gin Phillips. You can read the whole article bellow!

Warner Bros., Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment and producer Denise Di Novi are teaming up to adapt Beautiful Things, a novel by Gin Phillips.

Warners has picked up movie rights to the thriller, which LuckyChap will produce along with Di Novi and Di Novi Pictures’ Alison Greenspan.

The book option is the first move for LuckyChap since it signed a first look deal with Warner Bros. in September, on the heels of Robbie forging a strong relationship with the studio thanks to such movies as Suicide Squad and The Legend of Tarzan.

Phillips’ novel sold to Viking in the run-up to October’s Frankfurt Book Fair for a reported $850,000. The hook is compelling: The story is set over three hours and tells of a mother and son who are trapped in a zoo with a gunman on the loose.

LuckyChap is comprised of Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. It is unclear at this stage if Robbie will star in the adaptation.

Di Novi, a longtime producer for Warners, counts The Best of Me and You’re Not You as her recent credits. She worked with Robbie when she produced Focus, the 2015 heist movie that also starred Will Smith, and is making her directorial debut with Unforgettable, a thriller which stars Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl that will be released next year.

LuckyChap is in preproduction on I, Tonya, which will head before cameras in early 2017.

LuckyChap is repped by CAA, Management 360 and attorney Jeff Bernstein of Jackoway Tyerman. Phillips is repped by UTA, who handled the deal on behalf of InkWell Management.

Margot’s upcoming thriller “Terminal”, produced by her own production company LuckyChap Entertainment (which you can read more about here), will be at TIFF – Highland Film Group, who handles the international sales for the film, will debut selected footage to potential buyers at the festival. Read more about it below! Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we now also have the first promotional picture for the film. Margot looks fierce!

The Hollywood Reporter – Highland Film Group is handling international sales and will debut select footage to buyers at TIFF. Margot Robbie is now wearing more hats. The Suicide Squad star not only stars in the upcoming thriller Terminal, but produced the film as well.

Here, The Hollywood Reporter debuts a first-look image from Vaughn Stein’s noir thriller, which features Robbie’s mysterious character standing with a cigarette.

The film, also starring Simon Pegg, Max Irons, Mike Myers and Dexter Fletcher, follows two hitmen who, while on a job, meet Robbie’s dynamic character — who may have more to do with their case than they initially thought.

Highland Film Group is handling international sales and screening select footage of the new film to buyers at the Toronto Film Festival while CAA is selling the U.S. rights.

David Barron of BeaglePug, Molly Hassell and Highland Film Groups’s Arianne Fraser produced the film alongside Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Sophia Kerr and Robbie under their LuckyChap Entertainment banner.

Terminal is Robbie’s first film as a producer. She’s also attached to star in and produce a Tonya Harding film called I, Tonya and a possible Harley Quinn spin-off movie for Warner Bros.
