Margot fans, we may have some fantastic news! It is rumored that Margot will potentially play Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming movie on the Manson Murders. Deadline broke the news that Tarantino had met with Margot to discuss the movie. While no confirmation on the casting has been made, it has gotten us very excited and looking forwards to yet another (possible) project of Margot’s!

Word has gotten out that Quentin Tarantino’s next film will be a drama revolving around the Manson Family murders. Deadline has heard that Tarantino met with Margot Robbie to potentially play Sharon Tate, the actress wife of director Roman Polanski who was slain in 1969 in a brutal murder whose savagery shocked the country.

I’ve also heard that Samuel L. Jackson likely also will play a lead in the film, not a surprise since he is to Tarantino what Clarence Clemons was to Bruce Springsteen. A report in THR posited Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds star Brad Pitt (and Deadline hears he’s being courted to play the detective investigating the murder) as well as possibly Jennifer Lawrence.

Clearly word of this has gotten out before Tarantino was ready, but every project by the writer-director is major news. No one is confirming anything at this point, and I don’t think any roles have been promised yet. Robbie will reprise in Suicide Squad 2, which now is courting Jaume Collet-Serra to direct at Warner Bros, and she starred in and produced I, Tonya, playing disgraced Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding.

Nobody has read the new script, so all this is a bit liquid at the moment. I just hope Tarantino watermarks the scripts this time before showing them to his potential cast! Stay tuned. The film will shoot next summer.

Hello Margot fans! Our girl is currently in Cannes for the film festival, looking for financiers of “Dreamland” with her production company. We haven’t got any official photos yet (and we’re not sure there will be any, but we’ll of course keep you posted), so there’s not much to update with, but read on for a fun little article from News.com.au!

HOLLYWOOD has always had its “It” girls. Stars like Audrey Hepburn, Barbra Streisand, Goldie Hawn, Cher, Julia Roberts and Halle Berry have all earned the coveted title for their looks and talent on-screen over the years. And the next up-and-coming “It” girl these days seems to be Margot Robbie.

With starring roles in two films in the last year — as bad girl Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, which earned more than $US 700 million worldwide, as well as Jane Clayton in “The Legend of Tarzan,” the 26-year-old Australian actress may soon find her name added to the list of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading ladies.

“Robbie has all it takes to go to the top,” said film critic and entertainment reporter Stephen Schaefer, who writes for the Boston Herald.
But Schaefer isn’t convinced Robbie has reached the same status as Hollywood’s current It-girl quite yet.

“…What Emma Stone possesses is this innate, all-American girl quality where she seems like a regular person who might be your friend. Stone’s a movie star, but a down-to-earth one and that is something that can’t be bottled or packaged.”

That said, Robbie made a dazzling film debut with her role as Naomi Lapaglia, the sexy, feisty wife of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jordan Belfort character in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, adding her to the list of memorable performances by women in director Martin Scorsese’s films, such as Sharon Stone in Casino or Cathy Moriarty in Raging Bull.

“She can do just about anything, big budget, indie, and she leaves it all on the screen,” said Candace Havens, an entertainment reporter for KSCS 96.3. “She’s fearless and at the same time seems to be fairly strategic in the roles she’s taking on.”

Among the roles she’s adding to her filmography are Queen Elizabeth opposite Saoirse Ronan’s Mary Stuart in the upcoming drama Mary Queen of Scots. The drama tells the story of Mary Stuart’s attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England. Robbie will also be reprising her role as Harley Quinn in a film that will showcase the top female villains from the DC stable, titled Gotham City Sirens. In addition, she’s currently filming the biopic, I, Tonya, in which she plays controversial Olympic skater Tonya Harding.

“I think Hollywood likes to see actresses who take on diverse roles,” added Havens. “They can star in a big blockbuster, but also knock it out of the park in indie pics. But there’s also the element of how they appear in the public eye. [With] their social media and interviews, it is all about perception.”

Margot fans, i think we’re right when we say– Margot Robbie is taking over the world! It has just been announced by The Hollywood Reporter that Margot is set to star and produce along with her partners at Lucky Chap Entertainment the thriller Dreamland! You can read all about it bellow.

Margot Robbie is set to star in Dreamland, a thriller that will be directed by Sundance winner Miles Joris-Peyrafitte.

Robbie will also produce with her partners at Lucky Chap Entertainment, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Rian Cahill of Automatik.

Brad Feinstein of Romulus Entertainment is producing and financing Dreamland, which Sierra/Affinity will introduce at this year’s Cannes Film Market. CAA and WME are co-repping domestic sales.

Written by Nicolaas Zwart and on the 2015 Black List, Dreamland is set in the 1930s, amid the devastation of the Dust Bowl. The story follows a 15-year old boy on his quest to capture a fugitive bank robber and collect the bounty on her head, all with the goal with saving his family farm from foreclosure.

Against all odds, he beats out the FBI and the local police to find her, only to discover that she’s far more than what the authorities claim her to be. Robbie will play the bank robber.

The producers are hoping to bring a balance of nostalgic beauty and gritty realism to the proceedings as well as a balance between a sense of romanticism and a sense of violence.

Margot might be enjoying some deserved time off but that doesn’t mean the world wants you to forget about her. Variety broke the news yesterday that our favorite Aussie would be playing Queen Elizabeth in Mary Queen of Scots, and we’re very excited for this role (plus, she will be working with Saoirse Ronan)!

Margot Robbie is in negotiations to play Queen Elizabeth in Focus Features and Working Title’s “Mary Queen of Scots,” opposite Saoirse Ronan.

Josie Rourke is directing the film. Working Title’s Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Deborah Hayward are producing.

“House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon is writing an original script based on a book by John Guy titled “The True Life of Mary Stuart.” “Mary” has yet to be greenlit, but sources say things are headed in the right direction. If greenlit, the film would likely go sometime later this year. Ronan will play the title role of Mary.

Following the success of big hits like “Suicide Squad” and “The Wolf of Wall Street,” this latest role gives the Australian-born Robbie a prestige part to add to her portfolio. It could also have awards season potential given Focus’ track record of pushing Oscar campaigns for its releases.

Robbie, 26, is currently starring in Fox Searchlight’s “Goodbye Christopher Robin,” where she plays the wife of “Winnie the Pooh” author A.A. Milne. She recently wrapped production on “I, Tonya” starring as the title character Tonya Harding in a film she also produced under her Lucky Chap Entertainment banner.
